Government Affairs Update Joel Anderson, President & CEO, IWLA Anderson will update participants on current happenings in Washington, DC. He will cover a range of issues that are part of IWLA’s 2009 Government Affairs agenda, including the Employee Free Choice Act, legislation to regulate the railroads, and supply chain safety and security for food, pharmaceuticals, and hazardous materials and the potential effect on 3PLs. Warehouse Law Update Kevin M. Phillips, Fisher Kanaris PC & IWLA retained counsel, & T. Nicholas Goanos, Fisher Kanaris PC Phillips will look at Illinois warehouse caselaw, particularly how new caselaw affects warehouse operations, and Goanos will provide an update on changes in Illinois employment law. Strategies for Selling in a Recession Chip Scholz, President, Scholz & Associates The last year has been one of unprecedented change.
